Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

Is there a copy of the budget template in Microsoft Excel format that we can use, or must we create one?

Answer:

No. You must create your own budget spreadsheet.

Q:

If we have not already identified a consultant, should we consider the expert consultant that NJHI will engage to also help us implement our strategy?

Answer:

No, the expert consultant working directly with the NJHI Program Office should not be considered. They will provide us with a list of prescreened consultants that you may consider if you have not identified your own.

Q:

Can more than one person work on a proposal? If so, do they need their own login and password or do they share?

Answer:

Yes, contributors may share the work on a proposal. Once you create your application, you have the option to invite other “contributors” to work on your application. The online system will send an email to your contributors telling them they can access your proposal and will send them a temporary password if they do not have a MyRWJF account, or will tell  them they can login using their existing MyRWJF account.

What are you looking for in terms of letters of commitment from the CEO and the Board chairperson? Are you looking for the specific amount of hours they would commit to the project?

Answer:

No, we are not looking for a specific number of hours, rather a commitment to spend the time needed by the organization to complete the project.

Q:

Is there a maximum size for the PDF file that includes the audited financial statements?
